Help Support Refugees in Uzhhorod, Ukraine
Donation protected
Uzhhorod, Ukraine has been an official sister city to Corvallis, Oregon for the past 30 years. Because of its location in the most western part of Ukraine and bordering Slovakia, thousands of Ukrainian families and individuals are fleeing to Uzhhorod for safety from endangered communities in Ukraine. The Uzhhorod community is rallying to provide protection and comfort to fellow Ukrainians forced to leave their homes.
The Corvallis Sister Cities Association is raising funds to support these efforts. Schools and other public buildings in Uzhhorod are sheltering the refugees, but they need humanitarian aid such as food, bedding, hygiene and medical supplies, etc. The lives of Uzhhorod citizens have changed overnight due to the war. They are generously taking refugees into their own homes, but they cannot accommodate the thousands arriving from other locations. They need our help NOW. It is time to Stand With Uzhhorod.
Please consider a donation to aid in these efforts. We can make a difference! Over the last three decades, we have welcomed hundreds of Ukrainians to Corvallis, Oregon, as part of the Corvallis Sister Cities Association. In turn, hundreds of US citizens have been welcomed in Uzhhorod, Ukraine. We have established deep friendships and trusting relationships with our Ukrainian colleagues, which enables the secure delivery of your donation. We serve as an all-volunteer board and receive no overhead.
We stand with Ukraine and with the citizens of Uzhhorod. Please join us!
(Please note this gift is NOT tax-deductible. Also, GoFundMe charges a default tip of 15%, but you can adjust this up or down as you wish.)
