Help support Ricardo Ruiz and family.

My name is Michael Gruber and I am setting up this page to help support our dear friend Ricardo Ruiz and and his family.

As some of you may know, Ricardo is currently in the ICU after suffering a stroke. He is also fighting an unknown infection and doctors are trying to find the cause of both. Due to the stroke, his vision is now dramatically impaired in both eyes and it is unknown if it will return to normal. The ICU doctors are monitoring him closely, in hopes he does not suffer another stroke. 

I have not only had the honor to work with Ricardo for the past 13 years, but I have been blessed to build a close friendship with him and his family. I know many others can say the same.

Ricardo is the first to bring a smile to so many around him. He is bubbly, light hearted, a big jokester, and an incredible dancer(he often enjoys showing off his dance moves). Inside or outside of work, he is always willing to help those around him. My hope is that we can all come together to help him and his family during the difficult time. 

Back story-

On December 20th, Ricardo went in for brain surgery to remove a tumor that was found during an mri after experiencing vision changes in his left eye. While they were able to successfully remove the tumor and found it to be non cancerous, things quickly took a turn for the worse. 

On Christmas day, Ricardo was rushed back to the hospital after spiking a fever, where they found his body was fighting some sort of an infection. While at the hospital he also suffered a stroke which has dramatically impaired his vision in now both eyes. 

His family had planned financially for Ricardo to be out of work for a maximum of 6 weeks, however they will now face much more of a financial burden than expected- Ricardo is the main provider for his wife and two sons. 

His wife Georgina is one of the most giving and selfless woman who is currently finishing her schooling. My wife often describes her as a soft angel who always makes others feel very loved. Ricardo prides himself as being the main provider for his family. They are both so proud of the hurdles they have overcome and the life they have created together. 

If you are able to help ease the burden their family will begin to face, every little bit will help them so much. Prayers are also needed at this time.
