Help Support Ryan Beck in his Recovery Journey

On Wednesday, September 4th, our dear friend Ryan Beck suffered a traumatic brain injury while playing a softball game. Luckily, 911 was called quickly and the EMTs arrived not too long after, but unfortunately, by that time his speech was slurred, he was confused, and in massive pain. He has been in the ICU since then and has received numerous CT scans and will continue to receive them in the following months. He is currently suffering from brain bleeding and is being monitored heavily by his doctors.

He was unfortunately hit directly in the language center of his brain and continues to have slurred speech. He will have a long road to recovery with a good amount of speech therapy ahead of him.

His family & friends know how active he is, cycling outdoors every chance he can get. This injury has not only affected Ryan's physical health but has also brought emotional and financial stress to him. We want to make navigating this challenging time a bit easier for him.

***hi everyone - just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated. The donations and love received is beyond our expectations and we are all feeling so grateful and reassured in Ryan’s support. I’m happy to say Ryan was discharged from the hospital last night and is resting at home. He has a decent road to recovery ahead of him with a lot of speech therapy and neurological tests/appointments, he is still unable to look at screens so he’s been instructed to stay away from his phone for the time being still. Any messages sent here have been relayed to him and he’s so appreciative for all of the love. Thank you again and here is a pic of myself (Melissa) and Ryan from our visit last night.
