Help Support Rylan’s Recovery and Relieve Medical Expenses

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers, meet Rylan: a brother, a son, and a friend to many.

On October 27th, multiple lives changed in an instant when Rylan and two of his friends were involved in a serious car accident. The impact of this unexpected event has resulted in Rylan facing significant medical challenges. We are reaching out to our community, friends, and other compassionate humans to help provide support to him during this difficult time.

Rylan was rushed to KU Medical Center and stabilized with discovery of the following injuries resulting from the wreck:

Update 10/27/2024 10:00 am

-Broken jaw

-Fractured face

-Broken sternum

-Broken ribs

-Punctured lung

-Torn hamstring

Redone a CT scan- found more

-4 of his ribs are broken and are on top of each other

-3 vertebrates that are chipped

-Damaged heart, lung, and broken sternum

-Liver has a bleed

-Face is going to need reconstructive surgery

-cosmetic surgery for his teeth in time

Rylan goes into surgery tomorrow (10/30) to repair his 2 broken jaws. After, he will have his mouth wired shut for 4-6 weeks

which will follow with ongoing medical treatments, and extensive rehabilitation. As you can imagine his medical bills are piling up and he is undoubtedly overwhelmed by the tragedy. We ask for help in addressing the additional burden of financials on top of it all.

Our goal is to raise $20,000, which will help Rylan begin to cover the medical expenses while allowing him to focus solely on healing, recovery, and relieve the extra load of financial stressors he would otherwise be forced to face post-recovery.
