Support the Choi-Hounshell Family

Donation protected
Dear Friends:

It’s been almost two years since Blake Hounshell passed away. His widow, Sandy Choi, and their children, Astrid (5th grade) and David (7th grade), have been brave and resourceful as they continue to do their best to thrive in their new lives without Blake.

Those of us who are close to Sandy and the kids have been nothing short of amazed at the fortitude with which they have adjusted. It has required Sandy to juggle work and family life as a single parent, and the kids have had to step into more independence. That being said, finances are tight with only one salary to support this wonderful and talented family of three.

We are setting up a $50,000 fund to support the Hounshell children as they grow. The fund will be invested to ensure that Astrid and David can participate in the educational and extracurricular opportunities that are an essential part of the lives of middle and high school students like them. Sandy will be able to draw upon the fund to cover these expenses in the coming decade.

We hope you'll consider contributing whatever feels comfortable for you. No amount is too small and you may remain anonymous. And with the holiday season upon us, we hope this feels like an opportunity to help someone in our collective circle. Please feel free to forward this to anyone whom you think might be interested in helping out, and THANK YOU!
