Help support Sean after a bike vs. car accident

Donation protected
Friends,

Our friend and colleague Sean Woodburn was involved in a bike vs. car collision last night. Sean's an avid biker who takes commuting seriously; he's never without his helmet, reflectors, lights, and sometimes-ridiculed rear view helmet mounted mirror. Despite these precautions, he struck the side of a car that backed into the bike lane directly in his path.

While Sean is going to be okay, he suffered significant trauma to his face. Doctors performed surgery last night, with additional surgeries to follow in the coming days. Sean thankfully avoided concussion or other traumatic brain injuries due to his helmet.

While his stay in the hospital will hopefully be relatively brief, his road to recovery will be long and difficult. Funds raised will be used to support medical expenses and other expenses incurred by those caring for Sean in the coming weeks.

Sean's voracious appetites for laughter, joy, and spreading kindness have inspired all of those who know him. Though it sounds like a platitude, the statement "this couldn't have happened to a nicer person" is verifiably true in this case. If you're able, please contribute what you can to help keep Sean's sense of unwavering kindness and optimism alive and well.
