Help Support Shari Smith Fight Cancer

Hello, my name is Sheila Hansen, and I am asking for your help to support Shari Smith in her fight against breast cancer. Shari is a dear friend who has supported several friends and co-workers when they needed a lift. If you know Shari, you know!

Shari was diagnosed with breast cancer in June, just days before her 61st birthday. Not the birthday gift she was hoping for. Shari has undergone three chemo treatments thus far, and her fourth treatment was just postponed as her platelet count was too low. Shari will have six chemo treatments, surgery, and radiation treatments after the surgery. So this fight will be ongoing. Shari has been struggling with all the typical things cancer patients do, shocked by the diagnosis, worried about her future, tired, sick, food doesn't sound good or taste good; oh yes, and how is she going to pay for all this? Medical co-pay's continue to add up with every extra doctor visit for more potassium, IV fluids or after chemo shots. She is working through treatment but still misses work for chemo or to get a 4-hour infusion of potassium or fluids. She is out of PTO for the year and will be missing money from her paycheck for missed work. Shari could use some financial support to let her focus on her fight and kicking this cancer to the curb. The funding collected will help pay medical bills and fill the gaps where her paycheck is short due to being out of PTO.
