Help Support Southdale at 2023 DI Global Finals!

Help Us Represent Kettering City Schools at Destination Imagination Global Finals!

We are the Tricky Rickies, a group of 5th Grade students from Southdale Elementary School in the Kettering City School District, and we are currently raising money to get to the Destination Imagination (DI) Global Finals 2023 tournament in Kansas City, Missouri!

We’ve worked hard to get here and have been identified as one of the top-scoring Destination Imagination teams in the State of Ohio following wins at Regional (1st place) and State (3rd place) competitions. The DI Global Finals event, scheduled for May 20 - 23, 2023, is an incredible opportunity for us to not only showcase our team challenge to a global audience, but also to have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with students from across the country and the world.

Money raised through this campaign will be collected by the Southdale Elementary Parent Teacher Organization, a 501(c)(3) organization. As such, all donations are tax-deductible. All money donated will help to cover registration fee, lodging, and travel expenses for us, our coaches, and our parent chaperones at the four-day event. Any money raised above and beyond our goal will be donated to the Southdale Elementary Parent Teacher Organization.

Destination Imagination is a global organization led by parents and educators focused on STEAM-based, collaborative, student-led learning through challenges that allow Pre-K, K-12, and university-level students to solve open-ended problems utilizing the creative process. Students learn vital life and career skills through this process, including critical thinking, leadership, public speaking, and collaborative problem-solving.
