HELP SUPPORT STEVE MABRY'S BATTLE WITH CANCER
Donation protected
As most of you know, Steve Mabry has been battling Cancer for over half a year. The Tumor was discovered after Steve went in for treatment on his Shoulder and neck. In November Steve fell off his ladder cleaning his gutters. He tore some muscles and was experiencing extreme pain. This fall was a blessing in disguise. This is when the Tumor was discovered. After consulting with Specialists at OHSU they discovered another Tumor on the left side of his neck. Steve underwent Surgery to remove the Tumor from the back off his neck/Spine. The Dr was able to successfully remove the Tumor on the back of his neck which in fact turned out to be benign. But the Tumor on the left side was too embedded around critical nerves and his Carotid Artery. He is undergoing Chemo and Radiation at OHSU to shrink the Tumor that is on the left side of his neck/Spine. This has put a tremendous amount of burden on Steve. Steve has had to stay at OHSU for 5 days at a time to have his Chemo treatments. Radiation is 5 days a week for 33 days. He is currently on day 20. Currently his total Bill is close to $1 million. Of which Steve owes about 1/4 of that. In addition to this the medications he is currently taking are costing him $1,000 a month out of pocket. Not to mention all the trips to and from Portland for follow ups and tests. We are hoping to raise a minimum of $20,000 for Steve to take some of the immediate financial burden off of him. Artist and Best Friend Marcus Howell has donated 5 X 7 prints of his amazing rendering of Steve called "Battle". We will do a blind giveaway and send to people that donate.
