Help support Susie fight her breast cancer journey

Hi everyone, we are creating this fundraiser on behalf of our beloved and beautiful friend Susie Garland, a dedicated full-time working mum of three beautiful young children Bella, Brody, Byron and wife to Adam. Life has taken an unexpected turn for her and her family recently, and we are reaching out to our friends and community to support her during this challenging time.

2 weeks ago, Susie received the devastating news that she had been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). TNBC is an aggressive form of breast cancer that tends to grow and spread more quickly than other types of breast cancer. Because of its aggressive nature, TNBC is the most challenging breast cancer to treat.

Susie’s treatment plan began this week. Every 2 weeks for the next 6 months, Susie will be administered with the strongest chemotherapy available for this type of breast cancer. This will be followed by breast surgery and radiation therapy. Due to aggressive nature of the treatment Susie will endure a range of negative side effects both physically and mentally. It will not be possible for her to work and helping to care for her 3 children will be challenging and at times not even possible. This unexpected journey will bring both financial and emotional burdens to the family.

We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate some of the financial burdens on Susie and her family. The family heavily rely on Susie’s salary for mortgage re-payments and all other aspects of raising 3 young children. Your generous contributions will go towards medical expenses, unknown extended leave from Susie’s full-time job, reduced hours for her husband Adam to care for her and the children, additional childcare, and other necessities during this challenging time.
