Dear Friends and family,

I am reaching out to you today in support for my brother in law, James Addison.

A couple weeks ago, James was carrying some boxes into his home when he suddenly collapsed down on the floor and began seizing & had difficulty breathing. Thankfully, my husband was there to quickly assist & called for an ambulance. When he arrived to the hospital he went into cardiac arrest for 15 minutes due to a blood clot that traveled from his leg up to the lungs. He was successfully resuscitated and remained in the ICU, sedated and on a ventilator. These past couple of weeks have been a roller coaster for James and his family. He is slowly recovering.

James was a member of the 82nd airborne in the army. In those 5 years, he completed 3 combat tours in the middle east from 2009 - 2014. James has so many talents. He’s an excellent cook, he likes to fish & is a creative & crafty person. He’s passionate in everything he does & it shows. James has always put his family first. He is an excellent father to his son, AJ.

Now, we want to provide him the opportunity to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial concerns for his family, as he will be unable to work for an extended period of time. In addition Kathy is an elementary school teacher & will be out of work for a long period of time to care for her husband and son. As Kathy focuses on her time with her family, the last thing she needs to worry about is financial stress. With that being said, every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in alleviating the burden on her and their family during this difficult time.
