Hi, my name is Joanna and I'm the daughter of Joe Bodo III.

If you've ever had the privilege of meeting my dad, you'd know that he was incredible man who impacted the lives of everyone around him. He was a proud veteran who served in the Army and Air Force for over twenty years. He loved his military family and he loved his country. He was a dedicated husband, a hard-working father, and a loyal friend. He loved low budget black and white horror films and a good cup of coffee. He could quote any episode from Seinfeld if you asked him to. He had a killer vinyl collection and an even cooler book collection. He loved beaches, nature trails, national parks, and the mountains. He was a lover of all art forms: music, painting, acting, and everything in between. He valued education and pursuing happiness, regardless of the cost. He had a kind of love and determination that more people in this world should have.

He passed away on October 15th, 2023 due to a lung infection that rapidly took a toll on his whole body's health. Though this was incredibly difficult moment to experience, the amount of cherished memories of my dad that I hold far outweigh the grief I'm feeling.

Funds donated will help us compensate for the costs of post-death expenses such as death certificates, cremation, and his urn. Any extra money will be used to aid us in our living expenses that my dad previously financially contributed to: utilities bills for our home, mortgage, car insurance, dog care costs, groceries, etc.
