Help Support the Carey Family After Eaton & Palisades Fire
Donation protected
In a single heartbreaking day, my family experienced unimaginable loss. My mom lost all her belongings in the Palisades fire, and just six hours later, we watched as our childhood family home was destroyed by the Eaton fire. My mom raised me and my sister as a single parent, and this home held everything we had. Like so many in Los Angeles, we’re grappling with the aftermath and trying to figure out what comes next.
We’ve always believed in the power of showing up for one another—in love, in service, in solidarity. My mom works as a school teacher and has always been in service to others. Now, in this moment of profound loss, we find ourselves on the receiving end of that grace, humbly asking for the support of our community.
Rebuilding our lives will take time, patience, and the kind of kinship that reminds us we’re never alone in this journey. Any offering—a prayer, a kind word, or tangible help—would be a gift beyond measure as we work toward healing and finding our footing again.
Thank you for walking with us through this.
