Help Support the Cooper-Allen Family
As many of you know, Lauren Cooper and Kevin Allen lost their beloved, bright, blue-eyed daughter, Molly, on June 17 to Rett Syndrome (learn more here ). They cared for Molly every second of every day for more than 17 years, in a home filled with happiness, love and light. Together, with their family and friends, they buried Molly on Father's Day.
Yesterday, while family was still in town, their younger daughter broke her arm in two places. After seven hours in the emergency room, they came home to a flooded home due to an unforeseen bathroom leak.
Many of you had already reached out to see how you can help financially - and for that we're grateful. We had ideas in the works, but we can't wait any longer. We want the Cooper-Allen family to have time to grieve their unthinkable loss, but also to now care for their daughter, and pay for their insurance deductible and associated remodeling expenses.
If you can, please consider donating. We're hoping to raise at least $25,000 through this GoFundMe campaign, all of which will go directly to Lauren and Kevin. Or, if you feel so compelled, we know they'd appreciate a separate donation in Molly Allen's memory to either her DC school, St Colletta of Greater Washington, or the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. Thank you so much.
