Help Support the family of Albina

Teignbridge Voluntary Groups Supporting the Homes For Ukraine Programme across Teignbridge are helping facilitate this Go Fund Me for Albina's Family.

Beautiful Albina died on the 5th of March, aged 14. She and her Mum lived in Dawlish under the Homes for Ukraine scheme since April 2022, having left their home due to the invasion.

Many people have asked if they can support Albina’s mother with the costs unfortunately associated with losing someone. We are assisting people wanting to contribute towards the funeral extras (basics are often free for a child’s funeral), air travel for her relative, transport, catering, a live link so family and friends back in Ukraine can attend virtually, and most importantly some immediate specialist counselling in her language. Any additional funds will be donated to Devon Air Ambulance who (along with so many professionals from police, lifeguard and health) fought so hard for Albina on the night of her accident and subsequent death.

Albina’s mum is overwhelmed by the outpouring of grief and offers of support she and her host family have been sent. This is the most painful and horrendous time for her but it is comforting to know that others share her grief and cared for her daughter.
