Help support the family of Jamie Stovall

Jamie Stovall has been a great mother, fiance’, sister, daughter and friend. At 24, she never expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer. She traveled to Chicago to get the best treatment. It was there she discovered the cancer had already spread to the lymph, liver and lung. This was going to be a tough battle.
Jamie qualified for a drug trial that built up her immunity system as well as fought the cancer. This was helpful for her as the pandemic started. Although her treatments were every three weeks, Jamie still had to travel to Chicago for blood work, scans and doctor appointments in between. She took a break from work, returned and even with shortened shifts, eventually had to quit due to the side effects.
As the pandemic settled in, her symptoms had worsened and she was no longer able to take care of their son, who would have been finishing preschool. Drew stayed home and cared for them both. In May of 2021, it was discovered the cancer had spread to Jamie’s brain despite the treatment. She went to surgery to remove the cancer. It was 99+%removed. She also received some radiation therapy.
This was the start of a long painful summer. Jamie had fought long and hard but this cancer demon was rough on her. She suffered severe headaches, nausea and dizziness. It was difficult to even get out of bed. It took a long time to convince the doctors to scan her brain but when they did, they realized the cancer was back.
Jamie once again went under the laser knife to remove the cancer but this time was not as successful. The cancer had spread too far. They offered one more treatment to target the brain cells but Jamie was not able to complete the course. Due to side effects from all the steroid medication she had been given, she developed diabetes.
She has had the wonderful support of Drew by her side, their son Liam, her parents, family and many wonderful friends cheering her on through this difficult journey.
We are sad to share the news that Jamie passed away December 18th, 2021. Please help support Drew and there 6 year old son Liam during this time.
