Help Support the family of Joy Brown

Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Joy Brown. Her passing has been incredibly hard on her family, friends, and the North Fort Myers Junior Football Association (NFMJFA) community. Joy was a beacon of love, support, and positivity, and her absence has left a profound void in all of our lives.

Joy recently married her college sweetheart, Matthew Brown, and together they built a beautiful Life. Joy also had four amazing boys: Logan, Hunter, Keenan, and Jaxton. Joy’s family meant everything to her, and her boys were the center of her world. She dedicated herself to ensuring they were loved, supported, and encouraged to chase all of their dreams.

Joy’s selfless spirit didn’t stop at home. Since 2016, she has been a vital part of the NFMJFA, serving as its president and giving so much of her heart and soul to the field. She was every child’s biggest fan, always running around to make sure everyone was taken care of and cheering with infectious enthusiasm on the sidelines. Whether it was football or cheerleading, Joy was there with a fierce passion for the community, and her presence was always known. Her loud, joyful voice and contagious smile were impossible to miss, and she was lovingly known as “Grandma” to many of the kids on the field.

Her personality lit up the field, often greeting everyone with a cheerful “Hello, Friend!” or enthusiastically claiming, “Them are my boys!” And, of course, her playful threat of “I’m going to punch you in the eye” was a fan-favorite when the other board members were teasing her. Many loved to play jokes on Joy at the field. If you weren’t in on it, Joys birthday was every day -especially game days- and everyone made sure to let her know it. You would often hear people yelling “Happy Birthday Joy!” Or singing it over the intercom before starting a game. It was all to see Joys face get red and to hear her yell “Don’t make me come getchu!”

Joy’s commitment to the NFMJFA and the kids on the field was unmatched. She made sure no child went without, whether it was shoes, clothing, school supplies, or help covering registration fees. Joy gave so much of herself — time, energy, and love — to her community.

Her name reflected her true spirit perfectly: she was “Joy” to everyone who knew her, and there wasn’t a single person whose life wasn’t made brighter because of her. Her selfless, caring, and passionate nature made her a beloved member of the community, and her passing has been truly difficult for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

In honor of the incredible love and care she poured into her family and the NFMJFA community, we are asking for donations to help cover medical expenses, funeral costs, and to support Matt and the boys during this incredibly difficult time. Joy would never want to leave this world without ensuring her family was taken care of, just as she always made sure her field kids were.

Now it’s our turn to step up for her. For all the hours, sweat, and tears she gave to us, let’s make sure her family knows how much she meant to us all.

Please consider donating what you can and sharing this post. Let’s show our love and gratitude for Joy by supporting her family through this heartbreaking time.

Joy Brown will forever be remembered as a fierce, passionate, and loving presence, whose infectious laughter and unwavering support touched every life she encountered.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
