Help Support the Family of Rob "Runt" Vormelker

Dear friends, family, and supporters,

I come here to you today to ask for your support and a plea for assistance. At around 3:22pm on Thursday, August 22, 2024, our dear friend Rob "Runt" Vormelker was the victim of a tragic and terrible car accident as a result of a police pursuit of another vehicle.

Rob was on his way home from the grocery store when, as he was going through the intersection of St Rt 57 and Griswold Road in Elyria, he was struck by a driver who was evading police. Rob was taken to University Hospitals in Elyra with a punctured stomach, ruptured bowel, broken pelvis, and possibly more injuries still being discovered. Emergency surgery was performed on Thursday to repair his bowel, but there are still more surgeries to come, including repairing his broken pelvis.

Rob has a long road ahead of him and is fighting with all he's got for his life. This tragic accident has left his wife Kristy and his two sons, Jacob and Tridon, with an enormous road ahead of them as well. As many of you know, life can be incredibly difficult and overwhelming when faced with unexpected circumstances, and the burden of financial strain only exacerbates the pain.

That is why we have come together to establish this GoFundMe campaign—to provide a lifeline for the Runt family during this incredibly trying time. Our goal is to alleviate the financial burden they now face, allowing them to focus on helping Rob on his journey to recovery and rebuilding their lives without the added stress of worrying about basic necessities.
