Hello, everyone. My name is Jean Fusaro and I founded the Ocean State Guinea Pig Rescue in Ashaway, Rhode Island. It is with profound sadness that I have to let everyone know that the Guinea Pig Sanctuary in Hampton, NH burned down on the morning of 2/27/2019. One person died, many guinea pigs lost their lives, and Kim is in the hospital.
I started working with Kim last year on rescuing guinea pigs. Her passion for guinea pigs and her family is relentless. It does not matter what she is personally going through, her family and the guinea pigs that she rescued always came first. Many, many people know Kim very well and know how incredible and selfless she is.
I am so heartbroken to hear of this news. It is completely devastating. A family has been destroyed and a rescue for guinea pigs has been lost.
