Help support the Jacob Andrew Wentzel Memorial Scholarship

Hi everyone, I'm James Grassmuck along with Robert Castro. A little over 5 years ago we reached out to everyone to help us continue the Jacob Andrew Wentzel Memorial Scholarship. Everyone stepped up in a big way to provide another 5 years worth of annual scholarships to remember Jacob. To date 32 scholarships have been awarded over a 30 year period. This scholarship has become one of the most meaningful scholarships a senior can receive. Although this scholarship is awarded to a senior baseball player every year, it represents so much more. It represents the man Jacob was, the kindness he had for others, the teammate he was to many, and his love of baseball, family and God. Mr. Castro and I have been granted permission by the Wentzel family to keep this scholarship going and as Robert said to me -This scholarship means too much to simply let it go away. We would really appreciate your help and support. 100% of the money raised will go into the Jacob Andrew Wentzel Scholarship Fund at Texas First Bank to be awarded to a graduating senior each year. We are setting the fundraising goal at $5008. That covers the next five years and of course the amount must end in 8 in memory of #8.
