Help Support the Johnsons in Their Battle

If you know the Johnson Family, you love them. They are the most kind-hearted, loving people and would do anything for anyone. Lincoln is 26 and in his third year of medical school, and Darlene is 27 and always busy being a wonderful mom. They have been married for four and a half years and are the parents to two-year-old, Josie, and six-week-old, Hazel. In September, their beautiful family of 3 grew to 4 as little Hazel came into the world, but in a way no one expected. The Johnsons contracted COVID-19 four weeks before Hazel’s due date and while it started with the mild symptoms, Darlene quickly progressed to a more severe case. She was hospitalized and delivered Hazel via c-section 3 weeks before her due date, in order to best prevent her body from shutting down further. After a few weeks of being treated in the hospital, it was clear that Darlene was not healing in the way that we all would hope. On October 1st, she was intubated and put on a ventilator to help her breathe, on which she remains. Fast forward to Tuesday, October 26th, her case continued to become more severe, to the point that they called in all family members to say their goodbyes. Tuesday night the doctor said that she wouldn’t make it through the night. Wednesday morning she was still there, only to make it through yet another scary day of unstable vitals. Today, she is still here with us, only by the grace of God and the many prayers He is answering. More than donations, we are asking for continued prayers for our dear friends, as we have seen the miracles God has already worked, and we are praying for more!
