Hello friends,
Many of you know that Jeff was diagnosed with hairy cell leukemia in 2014. He has had treatments in the past, which have helped him to go into remission twice. Last summer, Jeff was hospitalized for 25 days, and his white blood cell count dropped dangerously low. He began getting SOT (a type of stem cell) treatments at a cancer care clinic in Reno, Nevada, which have shown encouraging signs of improvement. The hope is that as he continues with this treatment, his white blood cell count will go into the normal range, which then opens up other treatment options. He needs to travel to Reno six times a year which ends up being about $18,00 - $20,000. Insurance pays for very little, so it is all out of pocket. Jeff and Karen have mortgaged their house to be able to afford these treatments. The money we raise will help with the continued cost of the treatment as well as travel expenses. We are trying to raise $10,000, and the first $2000 will be matched by Modern Woodmen of America.
Thank you to all who have helped in the past. Please help us support the Kidder family with a donation. Your prayers and financial donations are greatly appreciated.
