Amy (Jones) Kleinhuizen & Family

On January 8th, 2016, Amy Kleinhuizen began battling scary debilitating symptoms. No doctor she saw could provide much insight. Four months later she was diagnosed at Mayo Clinic with dysautonomia in the form of POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). By the end of 2016, Amy’s neurological and physical symptoms were scary and vast. They prevented her from leaving the house, attending her children's activities, and doing any regular activities like cooking, laundry, going to the grocery store, or driving.
Despite doing everything possible to treat her symptoms, her body continues to decline in health. Symptoms she experiences include: air hunger, achey body, insomnia, nausea, dry heaving, chest pain, shortness of breath, sensitivity to light and sound, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue, postural intestinal distress, muscle weakness to the point of hardly being able to swallow, and many others. Most days she is bedridden with severe symptoms that would have most people running to the ER. However, she is fighting every day with prayer and faith that she will overcome this affliction.
2018 was very difficult. In addition to POTS, Amy was diagnosed with CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome). This syndrome makes her highly reactive to the slightest toxins. She has a reaction that triggers breathing and neurological issues if there is even the slightest mold, fragrance, or toxin in the air. She has been confined to her bedroom because this is the only room that she feels safe in with some special portable air filters. Additionally, she has two genes that are highly susceptible to mold toxins that will require her to be exceptionally careful the rest of her life. The family needs to renovate their home with new flooring, special air purification systems and other fixes to create a safer environment that Amy can be in without a reaction. In addition, she reacts to both of the family vehicles, so this situation will also need to be addressed. Over the past three years, Amy's treatment and necessary lifestyle changes have cost over $70K uncovered by insurance and this does not include the continuing treatment and renovations needed.
Many have generously and repeatedly asked what you can do to help the Kleinhuizen family through this difficult time and now we know! We are asking for help to ease this family's burden! Her husband working full time and has taken on so many other responsibilities because Amy is too sick. $25,000 will help pay for some of the foreseen costs in 2019. We hope to exceed our goal and bring great relief to the Kleinhuizen household!
Amy’s faith is strong. She is brave, and is standing on God’s promises for healing every day! No weapon formed against her shall prosper in the name of Jesus!
Friends, family and anyone who reads our campaign and is compelled: please help us raise money for Amy! And please pray and stand with us in agreement for Amy's complete healing!
