Help support Paul and the Lowery family

Hello everyone,

This GO FUND ME was created for Paul Lowery. About a month ago Paul was in a motorcycle accident that resulted in a complete spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed. Paul was treated at St. Mary's Hospital in Long Beach where the Neurosurgeon diagnosed him as a quadriplegic and recommended immediate back surgery to maximize the potential regain of function and sensation throughout his body. Paul recovered in the ICU for 9 days and was transferred to Casa Colina in Pomona. Casa Colina is a center of excellence for spinal cord recovery. Paul's stay there will last about 4 weeks with an estimated discharge date of March 31. At this point, Paul has arm function on both sides with no hand or finger function. He has no sensation or function from mid-chest down to his legs. Paul is going to require major assistance with his activities of daily life. His condition will require an overhaul at home such as widened doorways, lifts, a specialized bed, wheelchairs, wheelchair-accessible vehicles etc. Our family is grateful for your support and prayers while we navigate through this unexpected hardship.
