Help support the McGivern family against ALS
Donation protected
As some of you already know, our dear friend, Tiffany McGivern, was recently diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. This diagnosis came as a complete and utter shock to her and her family and friends; especially with her being so young. Tiffany has her wonderful husband, Sean, and two young boys, Joey (7) and Jackson (5) that are going through this with her. We are now turning to GoFundMe to help support her through this battle. This GoFundMe is being managed by her friends Angela, Kim and Nicole.
ALS is a terminal disease that attacks and weakens your nervous system, affecting basic tasks like walking, speaking, eating, and more. Tiffany was diagnosed in September 2022 at the young age of 42 which came as an absolute shock to everyone that knows her.
ALS is a very rare disease that affects around 5,000 people per year in the United States. There is no cure or treatment. In fact, we don’t even know what causes it. Because of these unknowns and the scope of its impacts, ALS is an extremely expensive disease to treat. Estimates range as high as $100,00-$200,000 per year.
Because there is no treatment for ALS, the only thing we can do is take steps to improve her quality of life. Your donation will help us do precisely that.
Throughout the years and before the diagnosis, Tiffany supported the fight against ALS by joining in fundraisers and participating in walks to help raise money for her friend's mother and now it's time to help her with her fight.
The funds raised will be used to help her and her family make the necessary improvements to their house so she can stay home with her young boys and be as comfortable as possible.
Tiffany and Sean will be celebrating their 8 year wedding anniversary this year and have been best friends since high school and have a love that not many people encounter. They share two amazing, brilliant, beautiful boys that they love with all their hearts. They built a wonderful family and wonderful life and are dealing with this diagnosis as best they can, but they aren't going to do it alone. We are here to fight this fight with them.
Thank you for your support!
