Help support the Morell family during this difficult time.

Our hearts are broken. This past weekend, we experienced the sudden loss of a young man, Jim Morell. It’s difficult to find the right words to bring comfort to those who cherished him. Jim was a devoted son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. My family relocated to Jackson in 2016, and ever since then, the Morells have welcomed us into their family with open arms. Jim was such a bright light in our lives. Jim moved to his own beat and welcomed everyone into his world. My son, who was quite introverted back then, formed a strong friendship with Jim, and it truly helped him come out of his shell. That was a wonderful gift for our family. My wife and I always felt truly blessed to be referred to as one of his aunts and uncles. I would do anything to have a time machine to relive those sleepovers, watching the kids play in the yard, creating chaos in our basement, and simply enjoying their childhood to the fullest.
The timing of this heartbreaking event feels particularly cruel, especially with Thanksgiving approaching, Christmas on the horizon, and Jim's birthday would have been just two weeks away. Over the last few years, this family has faced an overwhelming amount of tragedy. His mother, Bettina, has bravely fought through cancer, and his father nearly lost his life to a flesh-eating bacteria contracted during a hospital stay for COVID.
I created this page to support the family in covering the funeral expenses for Jim. Any contribution you can make would be greatly appreciated and will make a difference. Thank you and may God Bless you all.
