Help Support The Murdock Family

My name is Kayla Medina. I am creating this fund on behalf of my little sister Cortney (32), my brother-in law Blake (37), my niece Zoey (10) and my nephews Finnley (3), Buckley (1 month) and Bentley (10). Sunday, August 1st a horrible accident took place while Blake was at the community pool with the kids. He suffered an ischemic stroke and was rushed to the hospital and remained there for several weeks…. He had many tests and procedures done to try to discover the cause of this. After quite some time and a diagnosis of a pulmonary embolism, he finally recovered enough to return home but still had a long journey of different therapies, medications and doctor visits. Unfortunately, during the time he was at home recovering, he started suffering from excessive tremors, diaphragm issues, depression, and so much more. He was declining and my sister forced him to go back to the hospital in the beginning of December. After undergoing multiple procedures and having every test possible done, it was determined that he had yet another stroke and he was diagnosed with Endocarditis/Mitral Valve Regurgitation. He is still currently in the hospital working towards getting healthy enough to have his heart surgery done. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him with weeks in the hospital and many months of rehabilitation. Blake is a devoted and active father and has been the sole provider in their family as Cortney has been a stay-at-home mom to their 4 children.

 

These funds will be put towards medical bills, medication, household bills, food, Christmas presents for their children, home adaptions suitable for disability accessibility etc. Any donation large or small is incredibly appreciated and will impact the Murdock family tremendously.
