Help Support the ongoing fight against Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cam and I am raising funds to help support the ongoing cancer battle for my wife, Jen.
I am looking to complete a Ride across Australia, via the long way! A solo and unsupported cycle of 5,500km from Perth to Sydney, via Adelaide, The Great Ocean Road, Melbourne, the Alps and Canberra (I have included more about the ride below).
My wife has been battling Cancer for almost 9 years now, having been first diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer which had spread to her lymph nodes in June 2016. Following 12 months of treatment including Chemo, multiple surgeries and radiation we lived in the hope of it never returning.
Unfortunately, like in so many people her cancer returned In September 2020 and had spread to her Chest, Lungs, Neck, Throat, Brain and Kidneys...... I am lucky to have a super tough wife who has fought this disease with everything she has along with an army or Doctors, oncologists and naturopaths.
We live PET/CT scan to scan and have battled 15 tumours and counting ...... and hope and pray for a major breakthrough in cancer research to help us and so many others in the future.
Over the last 9 years I have taken part in 5 cycle tours to raise money for Cancer Research, however, with the cost of treatments along with the cost of the daily regimen my wife uses to support her 9 year battle, we are reaching out to the broader community and asking for help .... something that I must admit I am not good at doing !!
Please support us by making a donation through this page.
Both Jen and I know that so many friends and family have already given so much time, energy, love and in money cases financial support which we greatly appreciate.
Many of you are always looking for ways to support us - and your donation to this cause in support of us and my ride across Australia would be massively appreciated.
The Ride;
The Indian Pacific Wheel Ride is a 5,500km (3,417 mile) an unofficial race across Australia – starting Saturday 15th March, 2025.
The ride is a solo, completely self-sufficient and unsupported race across Australia - a 5,500-kilometer journey that will push the boundaries of human capability, endurance and help me reevaluate what is possible from the human body.
One of the key drivers behind my challenge is my family. My wife, Jen, is in a constant battle with Stage 4 cancer, following her initial cancer diagnosis in July 2016 and the battle that ensued, followed by cancer’s return in September 2020. The unrelenting adversary that is cancer is inspiration for me to push towards this huge goal of riding across Australia. My boys, aged 10 and 12, are at the age where I want to show them that anything is possible with hard work, belief in yourself and determination.
Thank you, I really appreciate your support...
Cam and Jen.
