Jason Pereira was a positive, loyal, and hard-working father. He made many friends over the years through soccer, work and family. Patient, kind, caring, giving, Jason’s children were his whole world. His children’s smiles were everything to him and he lived to make them love life, have fun, and play games. Above all, Jason was a man who exuded loyalty to his family and humility in himself. Never one to put his needs before anyone, Jason would always raise up the people around him and help in any way he could. His witty humor and infectious smile would always fill a room with laughter. He was a role model; not just for his family, but for his community.

Jason Pereira passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the age of 40. His death was unexpected and traumatizing for his immediate and extended family. Jason’s wife Maria is humbled by the outpouring of support and messages they have received. They are not the type of people to ask for or to expect any help, but we all know that in addition to the emotional stress of this situation comes financial burden as well. Jason will be leaving behind his widow Maria and his two orphaned children, Ethan (14) and Dan (10). Though there will be some minor coverage for the burial through his family and some work benefits, the lasting loss of wages will affect Jason’s family. The cost of mental health support, especially for Jason’s children, is expected to be a long-term commitment.

Any level of donation is appreciated. Initial donations will go to cover the difference in cost for the funeral. Any remaining donations will be given to Jason’s widow to help fund their children’s education.
