Help support the Purdys through COVID 19 crisis

Our beloved friends, the Purdy family, suffered a massive blow when they all contracted COVID 19 in November. Most likely, Mike contracted COVID at his place of work, serving his community in a medical lab. Luckily his wife Judy and young daughter Samantha recovered but Mike developed severe COVID pneumonia and ARDS. Mike has been hospitalized for 5 weeks now. He is unable to maintain his oxygen levels and has been on a ventilator and ECMO (lung bypass) for 3 weeks. Unfortunately his lungs have suffered significant damage and he may require a lung transplant to survive. His medical team is working hard to help him recover but his condition remains critical.

While Mike is fighting for his life, Judy and Samantha have been unable to visit Mike. With increasing medical bills and potential loss of wages, they are under increasing financial pressure. My hope in starting this GoFundMe is for us to help alleviate that stress, since we can’t do anything else to help Mike.
