On Friday December 6, 2024 the Schiavone family received devastating news. Their beloved husband and father was in a tragic accident. Anthony suffered a heart attack and despite every medical effort, it left him with terminal brain damage. He succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at the age of 52. Now Barbie, Andrea, and Sophia are left heartbroken.
Anyone who knew Anthony would describe him as a hard working, loving family man. Anthony loved his wife Barbie and daughters Andrea and Sophia more than anyone will know. Anthony worked as an electrician. When he wasn’t working he would be spending time with Barbie and his girls. He was so proud of Andrea being a teacher and Sophia in dental school down in Florida.
Anthony spent years volunteering his time to Woburn Youth Soccer as a board member. You would always find him down the fields on Saturdays or one of the many soccer tournaments cooking on the grill. He always loved attending his girls’ sporting events and cheering them on.
Anthony loved spending time with family and friends. Whether it was going out for a drink or sitting around smoking a cigar or “hunting” with the guys, he would be the life of the party. He would make everyone smile with his funny jokes and incredible personality. Their friends became their family and he was happy being with them all. He loved country music, especially going to Nashville and tailgating at a concert.
Barbie has lost the love of her life, best friend, and high school sweetheart. Their love was beautiful. They loved spending quality time together whether that was during their annual Friday date night at the country club or their DJ nights at home. Barbie enjoyed taking care of Anthony and making him feel special. When Anthony was around Barbie’s world was complete.
This family has given so much to the community, friends and family. Barbie is one of the most selfless people we know. She will go out of her way to help someone in their time of need. Whether it’s kind words, cooking a meal, baking her delicious treats, or even buying you a cup of coffee when you need it most. She gives so much of herself to others and it’s only right to repay her in her time of darkness.
The Schiavone family didn’t plan for this tragic accident. After five days of Anthony fighting to survive they are left devastated. Now, they are faced with the daunting task of settling all his affairs and planning his services. Any help you can give them at this difficult time would be greatly appreciated as they learn to navigate their world without Anthony.
