Help Support the Shea Family

It is with overwhelming sadness that we share the loss of our beloved Pete/Buck Shea. We, his family and friends, need your help to provide the Shea family with a path forward for financial security now, and in the future. Pete was truly a force of nature who was loved by everyone he came into contact with, but most of all by his wife Melanie and their two beautiful children, Brogan (14) and Sierra (11).

Please help us create a solid foundation for the Shea family as they transition from having Pete as their sole provider, to what lies ahead.

Pete/Buck died at Short Sand Beach on Tuesday, May 30th doing what he loved most, surfing with his son Brogan and the Grom Crew that he mentored. This tragedy has had a devastating ripple effect for those that were with him, and the brave souls who did everything in their power to save his life. There were many heroes that day, but in the end, there was nothing anyone could do to keep him here with us. All we can do now is rally to offer financial support to his family and create a bridge between life before Tuesday and life after Tuesday, as they begin to heal from this heartbreaking loss.

For those that knew him well, there were many things we loved about Pete; he was the ultimate family man, a devoted husband, an adventurer that lived FULLY for today, a bear-hugger that made us feel loved, a hilarious storyteller, the life of the party, and most of all, someone who always had your back. Let’s return his epic generosity 100-fold to help his family thrive in the wake of this catastrophe.
