Help support the Stieler family while Jaxson heals
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jacqui and I have set this fundraising page up to help out one of the kindest most loving families I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Please take a moment to read their story below and help raise some funds to help them continue to stay by Jaxson's side as he continues to fight and heal.
All funds raised will go towards funding a vehicle suitable to transport Jaxson in and also financial support for the family.
The 4th of October changed all of our lives forever.
Jaxson was like any other 9 year old boy who enjoyed playing soccer, riding his scooter, bike, playing with his brother and his dog.
2023 started just like any other year Jaxson was a fit and healthy boy who had just finished term 3 at school, the soccer season finished and was starting back swimming lessons. We started to notice that Jaxson was a bit more tired to start with but we just thought it was due to being the end of the school term. It was only when he started swimming lessons that we realise something wasn’t right as it was difficult for him to get his left arm out of the water like he would usually do as Jaxson was a good swimmer.
An emergency trip to the Queensland Children’s Hospital was recommended after a visit from our GP. Jaxson had a MRI which showed a mass in the mid center of his brain just above the brain stem. We were in utter disbelief when life throws the unexpected news that Jaxson had a brain tumour.
On October 4th 2023 Jaxson was scared but ready for his biopsy operation. They removed part of the tumour but were challenged with a bleed from a blood vessel in the tumour. Within a 2hrs of coming out of theatre Jaxson was going back in. They found a haematoma in his cavity & was back in for a craniotomy to control the bleeding.
From that day forward Jaxson has been left unconscious and sadly no one is able to say what the future will hold for him.
This is where your support, generosity and compassion plays its role.
We (mum & dad) haven’t not left Jaxson’s bedside. 24/7 we continue to push through our mental, physical and emotional levels, we are beyond fatigued, but we will continue to show our love through touch, presence and care. We have sacrificed our lives to guide our son as we travel through the darkest days together whilst still taking care of our youngest son.
Your donation big or small will have a massive impact towards our family. Whilst these donations can’t take away our pain & suffering, it will help provide assistance in other ways like food, fuel & house hold bills. We truly understand everyone is feeling the financial struggles & challenges through day to day life which is why any donation means so much to us.
We appreciate your compassion & kindness choosing to help assist our family in time of need & we are internally grateful for your love & support.
“Enjoy these precious moments with loved ones & hug your family tight”.
Much Love
Tim, Helen, Jaxson & Phillip
