Help Support Therese's Journey Back to Health
Donation protected
Our aunt Therese, 40, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer with peritoneal carcinosis back in 2018. She is a mother of 3 and lives in Beirut, Lebanon.
She received three cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy every three weeks between September and October 2018 to reduce the size of her ovarian tumors. She then underwent a total hysterectomy and had her entire uterus removed. During this surgery, doctors discovered that the cancer had spread through her entire abdomen, forcing them to remove portions of her intestines and kidneys. She is required to take an injection of avastin every three weeks and must continue the treatment for one year while regularly taking radiology and blood tests.
Unfortunately, for our aunt to continue her treatment, the cost for the injection every two weeks is $600, totaling $1,200 every month. She has already been receiving them for 2 months, which her family members have paid for. The economy in Lebanon is inadequate and she can not afford to pay for them, even though her life and road to recovery depends on these injections.
To help our aunt recover, we are asking for donations to support her journey back to health. We understand times are tough for everyone, and would appreciate shares and reposts as well. Thank you for your support and love during this difficult time.
