Help support Tim Vanderklok after his amputation

WARNING: Viewer discretion graphic photos attached Tim and Eileen have been married for 11 years and are a blended family with two daughters. On April 19th 2023, Tim went into the hospital with what he described as a “sore” calf muscle. Within hours he was admitted to ICU as the calf swelled significantly.

Surgery was performed to open his leg to release the pressure. He was quickly diagnosed with an internal infection and a few days later it was determined to be a Necrotizing Fasciitis (flesh-eating disease) + MRSA.

Over the next week the surgeons and doctors actively tried to kill the infection and performed 6 surgeries to try and save his leg. Unfortunately, on May 1st 2023 it was determined in order to save his life they had to amputate his right leg above the knee. 

The surgery was successful, and Tim is now home learning what the new way of life looks like. He has regular occupational therapy appointments to learn to become mobile.

While Tim and Eileen do not know exactly what the future will hold, they know that there will be a new normal. They know there will be a financial burden that goes with this change especially with Tim already on long term disability due to a back injury.

We are asking for your help in supporting them to help cover costs they are required to pay for out of pocket. The essentials that Tim will need ASAP are:

-his prosthetic leg

-outdoor ramp

-stair lift

-wheelchairs

-bathroom modification

-vehicle needs/modifications
