Help support Children & Young People at Motiv8

Help us create a brighter future for young people!

Motiv8 is a registered Isle of Man Charity (number 275).  As part of our support, Motiv8 provides a lifeline service for young people in the Isle of Man, offering free, non-judgemental, confidential one-to-one support for locals aged 18 years and under who seek help for their own, or someone else’s, drug use, alcohol use, gambling or gaming problems.

Due to a huge rise in demand for our services in recent years, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, the future of support for children and young people is under threat if we are unable to secure the critical funding needed to continue our Family Service and YP@Motiv8

Each year we must raise more than £150,000 to fund our support to children, young people and families impacted by drug and alcohol use. We need your help to do this.

£1,000 can fund either:

• 24x one-to-one therapy sessions for a child
• 15x parenting groups
• Multiple therapeutic outings and activities for MiniMotiv8 children
• 10x training sessions for primary school care staff on impact and awareness of substance misuse
• Client emergency fund for essentials for two years
• One year of accredited training for a Motiv8 team member
• 20x mental health and well-being groups at the Motiv8 Recovery Hub for all clients
• Travel to appointments/mileage to see children across the Island to complete outreach work
• The design and production of leaflets & literature to raise awareness of our services to the wider community
• Raise awareness of our services to the wider community

£500 can fund either:

• 12x one-to-one therapy sessions for a child
• A Christmas party for 25 children and young people affected by parental addiction
• Play therapy equipment and materials for up to one year
• Top-up phone vouchers to enable vulnerable young people to keep in touch with us
