Help Support Tonya in Her Fight Against Cancer

Hi Everyone, My name is Mary. My friends and I are starting this Go Fund Me for our friend, Tonya, who received a diagnosis of stage 4 esophageal cancer with liver metastasis in August. Since then, she has been unable to work, and her ability to return to full-time employment remains uncertain due to the intensive and ongoing treatments.

This year was meant to be Tonya's 25th year as a teacher. She is greatly missing being able to work with her 5th grade students and colleagues in St Croix. Despite her health challenges, she stays connected and visits them when she can.

Tonya is one of the most creative, caring and genuine people we know. She loves her husband, Mike and sons, Michael and Aidan, more than anything. She cherishes her family and friends deeply. She was initially hesitant about the idea of this fundraiser, but with some persuasion, she reluctantly agreed.

Our goal is to help ease some of the financial burden and stress so that she can spend time with her family and focus on kicking cancer's butt!
