Hi, our team, Eli, Roydon, Ke, Cheyenne and Brianna are starting a crowd funder to raise money to further ourselves in the marine industry. We've been privileged to be invited out to grow and learn from organisations - Dolphin Research Australia and AIMS (Australian Institute of Marine Science).

All of us have recently completed, as a part of the indigenous cohort, a Cert II in Marine Habitat Restoration and Conservation. In addition to this, we are currently working on Cert III in Marine Habitat Restoration and Conservation and working as indigenous student support for the current ‘healing sea country’ cohort while studying Cert IV TAE.

As a collective we all have a real passion and love for Sea Country and to elaborate on his journey and connection to Sea Country here are a few words from Eli-

Hi, my name's Eli. The importance of sea country has been embedded into me from a young age from swimming to fishing to exploring and more. Sea Country has been invaluable to me. After completing my cert II in Marine Restoration and Conservation, I learnt that Sea Country is vulnerable and as it's nurtured me all the years, I feel obligated to return the favour. I'm inspired by the opportunity to care for sea country but most of all be a part of an industry that's about making a real difference. To everyone that decides to support us, thank you so much, I think I speak volumes when I say on behalf of everyone else, we are super grateful.

Our Goals are:

1. To fundraise for Dolphin Research Expeditions Moreton Bay.

2. To fundraise for our flights to visit AIMS.

3. Diving equipment including, wetsuits, mask and snorkel and fins.

4. Beach clean-up Moreton Bay - money raised will help provide clean-up equipment, live music, and BBQ for all who help clean the beaches. As well as other essentials.

5. To travel and learn from TO’s, elders and rangers from other parts of Australia.

As means of inspiring your donations and support, we are currently organising a beach clean-up in Moreton Bay. This, we hope, can represent our shared love of Minjerribah Stradbroke island and all of Moreton Bay islands and our gratitude for your support, as a way to give back by keeping these beautiful islands beautiful.
