Our friend Vil needs our support
Hi everyone. My beautiful friend Vilmary Lopez has recently been diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia. This was found after many months of testing in attempt to figure out what was ailing her. Her treatment routine includes a continuous IV infusion of Cladribine for 7 days. Her blood cell counts are tested weekly to determine whether she needs additional Cladribine or not. She is receiving treatment at Mass General.
Hairy Cell Leukemia is a rare and highly treatable form of non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It’s a rare blood cancer - the blood cells can grow out of control and collect in certain parts of the body. It can just happen - it’s not hereditary and doesn’t depend on diet and exercise. There is a high likelihood of remission when receiving treatment.
Please consider helping her out. She would give the shirt off of her back for anyone and I’d love for her to be as happy and healthy as she makes the people around her. I love you Vil. You got this, girl ❤️
