Help support Wes in his fight against Leukemia
Donation protected
Friends, Family and all supporters of #TeamWessie,
Akimi and Cory are facing a moment which will change their lives forever. On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, they took sweet baby Wes to Seattle Children's Hospital as he had developed an unknown rash. After some lab tests, Wes received a Leukemia diagnosis.
With Wes being only 11 weeks old at the time of his diagnosis, this news was devastating. Akimi, Cory, and Emmi, along with all of their loved ones, are utterly heartbroken.
We know that the road ahead will be a tough one. Wes will be facing a 6+ month stay at the hospital and years of outpatient care. There will be countless tears shed and sleepless nights and the family cannot do this alone. So we are calling on you, Cory and Akimi's village of supporters, to rally behind the Dunn family.
Wes' Diagnosis:
As Akimi and Cory are able, they will share more about the Leukemia diagnosis.
How to help --
Financial: We know more than ever that life is expensive. Any financial contribution you may be able to provide, regardless of size, will go a long way in covering Wes' medical expenses
Giftcards: Akimi and Cory will be spending a lot of time at the hospital so giftcards will be a great option to make sure they're fed! Starbucks, UberEats, and even gas coupons are more than appreciated as there will be many trips to and from the hospital.

Giftcard for Seattle Children's Food Service Dept / Room Service: https://giftshop.seattlechildrens.org/Room-Service-Made-For-You-Gift-Card-50-P3663.aspx
Support for Emmi: We want to make sure that Emmi continues being the happy and goofy little girl that we know her to be! While we'd love to set up a million playdates for her, we do have to be careful to limit her exposure to any germs since Wes is extremely immunocompromised. If you want to find out more about how to best support Emmi, please reach out to Becca via the contact information provided on this GoFundMe page.
Words of Encouragement: While Cory and Akimi may not be able to respond to every call or text, please know that your well wishes and words of encouragement do not go unnoticed! Keep texting them and sending those positive thoughts :)
Bone Marrow and Blood Donations: If you're willing and able, bone marrow and blood donations are another invaluable form of support. Not only will this help Wessie but so many other babies! The best resources are linked below.
