In early January, Carmen Verderosa of Woodrock Studios, was rushed to the hospital after suddenly contracting a severe case of Covid-19.
Carmen is currently in the Intensive Care Unit and on a ventilator to assist his breathing as his body attempts to heal.
The last few weeks have been incredibly emotional and difficult for his wife Kathy, his parents Carmen & Barbara, his sister Diane and countless other members of his family and friends.
For anyone that knows Carmen and how full of life he is, it’s hard to imagine him alone, in the hospital in such a condition. We all can’t wait to hear his constant silly jokes, to see his smiling face and listen to his stories of the music he helps people create at Woodrock Studios.
Thanks to many years of Carmen and Kathy's hard work, Carmen’s lifelong dream of opening and running a music recording / rehearsal studio finally came true. As anyone who has visited Woodrock Studios can attest to, it is above and beyond the average studio in many ways. It was born from Carmen’s unique passion, enthusiasm, and genuine love for spending his days helping like minded, creative musicians share their art and share the happiness that their music inspires.
Although Carmen’s Doctors are cautiously optimistic, it is likely that his condition may require a lengthy recovery period. As he fights to beat this virus and regain his health, we will be helping to keep his dream alive, anxiously awaiting his triumphant return to Woodrock Studios.
Carmen’s family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this challenging time.
