Help & supporting my family survive through war

My name is Mo. Hamouda. I am 31 years old and living in Belgium. I’m writing with a heavy heart as I am doing this fundraising on behalf of my FAMILY in Gaza who lost everything. I have been doing everything I can to support my family financially, but unfortunately, it is not enough.

Before the war, my parents, sisters, their husbands, and their small children (11 people in total) were all living in their own homes in Beit Lahia, in the North of Gaza. Lately, they have been facing unimaginable sufferings, from bombing to threat of starvation…

My family had to evacuate as they lost the beloved places they called home, as well as their life savings, my sisters were living with their husbands and small children. Due to the war my family has been separated into three groups, in “Jabalia, Al-Shifa and Rafah”.

What the funding is for

The funding would help them cover the bare essentials, as the basic necessities have become luxuries. They have barely to no access to food, water, clothing and medical care. If they even find it, it is extremely expensive. As they are separated into three groups it is even more difficult to support them.

The situation of my family

The first group is my parents and my youngest sister Aya. My father is 62 years old and in a difficult medical situation, as he had an open heart surgery in April 2023. Their home was severely damaged and became unlivable in early November. Since then my parents and sister had to leave with only the clothes on their backs and had to move around again and again, looking for shelter. For a while they were at Al-Shifa medical center, but even being there, they barely have had access to food, drinkable water and so on. Right now (30th of January 2024) they are looking again for a new shelter.

The second group is my sister Wala and her two small daughters of barely 4 and 1 years old. They had to evacuate to Rafah, in the south of Gaza, where they are currently living in a tent. Lastly, the third group is my oldest sister, Nuzha, and two small sons (3 and 1 years old). Their beautiful home was already destroyed in the beginning of October. They fled to Jabalia and are now staying in a shelter.

More details on the funding

The funding I am requesting will directly go to support my parents, my sisters Aya, Wala and Nuzha and their families. I find it extremely difficult to ask for this help, but I am at loss. All I want is for my family to survive, to find food, water, shelter. It would serve for daily needs, and some extra living costs for a couple of months.

Any additional funds will be used for evacuation needs, if possible. As my sister Wala and her family are in Rafah in the south, I hope I could evacuate them to a safe place in Egypt.The estimated costs for evacuation expenses would be as follows:
