Help Suratini Survive Covid 19 & Open

This is an extremely hard announcement to make. Some of you knew of our exciting adventure to open our Thai Cocktail and Tapas Bar in Jacksonville in the old Thai House place. We wanted to have all our ducks in a row before announcing our opening. Unfortunately, in light of everything that has happened, we were not able to open as planned. With expenses accruing and no revenue coming in, I’m not sure we can hold onto it.
Suratini has been my dream for a very long time. Growing up in Thailand I found my love for cooking and making people happy with delectable food. I wanted to bring Thai street food and delicious craft cocktails to Jacksonville. We got the ball rolling in December and I had high hopes of breathing new life into the place and bringing you delicious food, cocktails, and a fresh new look. In the middle of cleaning, remodeling, and applying for loans COVID19 hit the breaks on this happy endevor. I want to be here and bring my dream to you when things get back to normal. I am praying that we will get the loan we need, but if not then we might just have to let go of this dream.
We did apply for the EIDL program through the SBA; however, we are not considered to have had enough of an economic injury and not included in the program. We have submitted a reconsideration request. In addition, we are still applying for loans.
Our original plan and loan request before all this happened was for adding the necessary plumbing, electrical work, and equipment for the addition of the cocktail bar. Right now we need to finish cleaning the kitchen (it needs a super deep clean from professionals) and replace the stove. Once we get that done, we will start with takeout and see how it goes.
Trusting in God that He will point me in the direction we should go. We deeply appreciate any help you can offer! If you have a skill in renovations like plumbing, electrical work, etc and would like to donate some of your time for some needed renovations and building the bar that would be fantastic. Prayers and thoughts are most welcome too!
