Help Surround Brian with Love During his Last Days

Six years ago my husband and I had this wild idea that we would introduce his high school friend, Brian Bramlett, to my long time friend, Nikki, at our wedding reception. Little did we know they would hit it off and despite meeting in California while he lived in Iowa and she lived in Oregon, they decided on forever together. Brian moved to Oregon to be with Nikki and they got married in 2019. While the two had lived lives before one another, they were thrilled to spend the rest of their lives together. What no one expected was for that time to be cut incredibly short.

Last year Brian was diagnosed with cancer and has undergone  several treatments and procedures which have led to Brian being unable to work for months. There have been many ups and downs with the treatment but last Friday things took a turn that no one was really prepared for. With the focus on a different treatment, the cancer within Brian's body completely took over leaving Brian with news that no one at his age should receive. 

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share that Brian has been brought home and is on hospice. Brian only has 1-2 months left. In order for Brian to spend his last few months with Nikki, she has to take leave from work which will be unpaid. The medical bills have been accumulating, not to mention the everyday bills that need to be paid. No one should have to choose between spending precious time with their dying spouse or going to work for fear of not having income to pay the bills.
