Help Susan Avoid Homelessness

Hi, My name is Carina, I am Susan's third daughter.

My loving mother who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need has spent the majority of her life raising her four kids as a single mother struggling every day just to get by.

Due to all the stress, her health took a turn for the worst and for decades she has been in chronic pain dealing with a wide range of health problems including peripheral neuropathy in her feet, double knee replacements that unfortunately did not heal properly, arthritis, severe anxiety and depression, along with many others health complications. Simply walking or standing up for longer than a few minutes causes her to be in severe pain. She receives a small amount of disability assistance but it's nowhere near enough to live on.

She now has five beautiful grandchildren. I wish I was in a better financial position to support my mom but as a new mother myself, I don't have the space or financial ability to keep her in my care and neither do my other siblings. This world and economy seem to be getting more challenging by the day.

My mother has not been able to pay her rent for several months and is now facing eviction and homelessness. She's also trying to help my brother get back on his feet after a turn of very unfortunate events and they both will have nowhere to go. Homeless shelters around the area are filled to their max capacity and affordable housing is nearly non-existent. We have tried every last government assistance program... the waiting lists are so long... it will most likely be years before she is approved for anything.

And on top of everything, she is being sued by her apartment management and owes them $7000, plus money she needs to pay back to friends who have helped keep a roof over her head through the winter months. We would also like to raise money for the coming months. We have all been praying and waiting for a miracle. She has some lovely friends who encouraged me to start a gofundme for her. If anyone is able to help with donations, a room she can rent, meals, legal help, ect... any bit would make a huge difference!
