Help Susan beat stage 3 cancer!

Greetings friends and family, thank you for taking the time to view this page. My name is Chelsey and I'm creating this for my mom Susan who has sadly been diagnosed with stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma of the soft palate on January 6'th. Those of you who know my mom knows she has a massive heart and can't help but care for everyone she meets. What most people don't know is that my mom has spent most of her life taking care of others, even when it has cost her major sacrifices she has always put everyone else first other than herself because that is the person she is. Now is the time my mom needs to be put first and have others take care of her and I am asking for help in doing so.

Unfortunately due to the aggressive forms of treatment, my mom was forced to quit her job and medical bills have begun to pile up. Her road started difficult straight out the gate as she was hospitalized after having her PEG tube placed which allows her to eat and supplement nutrition as the pain becomes too much to nourish her body. After she was discharged and fully healed from this procedure my mom then had to have the port placed which allows her to start the 7 weeks of chemoradiation. As if this wasn't enough, my mom sadly also had to have all of her teeth pulled before starting the chemoradiation she needed. As you can imagine these medical bills even with the help of insurance are really taking a toll on her, especially without an income coming in. Then adding onto that she has numerous medications that also aren't even covered by insurance, copays for several specialists, formulas for her port needed to help with weight gain that insurance also doesn't help with, the list goes on. The battle mentally, physically and emotionally is already hard enough on her so I want to help her in any way I can financially so she has some weight taken off her shoulders.

I know times are difficult for everyone right now, but if you can help anything is greatly appreciated and if you aren't even sharing this page on your social media helps wonders. My mom has a heart of gold, and I want to see her back to her healthy and pain free self one day to play with her new granddaughter she is so thrilled to have.
