Help Susan Dean
Donation protected
Hello. My name is Julie Dean and I am asking for help for my sister Susan Dean.
She recently was diagnosed with stage 4 laryngeal cancer. The treatment she is facing is radiation and chemotherapy. Because of the radiation and the area being treated, head and neck, she will need to have oral surgery to remove damaged teeth before radiation can begin. This is due to a condition that happens from radiation - Osteoradionecrosis -https://www.ucsfhealth.org/conditions/osteoradionecrosis
She needs this oral surgery before she can start her radiation treatment, which is currently scheduled to start October 31 - how creepily appropriate.
The majority of the money raised will be used to fund the dental work. She has an appointment with an oral surgeon Friday, October 19. More information from that visit will follow. Any monies left over will be used for bills, doctor visits, etc.
Needless to say, I am very sad and still trying wrap my head around her diagnosis.
We’re still gathering information, as this is a new diagnosis. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer them, please reach out.
Thank you,
Julie and Susan
