Help Susan get the rehab she needs.

Susan Boyd Moss was taken ill with sepsis caused by an infection in her gallbladder. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital where she was intubated and put into ICU. It was touch and go for a bit. She remained in ICU for 6 days before being moved to a regular room. She made good progress, but was very, very weak from the results of the infection, having to do temporary dialysis, having been in bed for 17 days and fighting to survive the infection. When she was discharged from the hospital she went to Lexington Health Care Center for rehabilitation and skilled nursing. She has made slow but steady progress despite contracting coronavirus while in the facility. The covid and the condition she was in when she arrived has slowed her progress down and she has yet to be able to walk. Sadly her insurance company doesn’t feel she has progressed enough to stay. We have filed several appeals & won but have now lost our last appeal & the insurance will no longer cover any more rehabilitation. Susan is in need of more intense rehabilitation and not ready to give up. We need your help in paying for the stay that is now not covered by her insurance.
