Help Susan With Expenses During 3rd Cancer Battle

Hi, my name is Jenny and I’m writing this on behalf of my parents. Like many families near and far, my family has had its share of extremely difficult times, especially these last five years. December 2022 has only proven to add to the list of difficult times. My mom has again been diagnosed with cancer. This is my moms third cancer diagnosis. She began her cancer battle in the fall of 2017, she went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments and won the battle. My mom was again diagnosed in 2019, went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments and again won the battle. Here we are in December 2022 and she is facing this nightmare once again, but this time she is up against small cell lung cancer with distant metastasis of the liver which will require my mom to go through chemotherapy and immunotherapy which she starts in the very beginning of January 2023. This is cancer is more aggressive than what she has had before, but we have faith in her ability to get through it, she is a fighter and survivor.
Throughout these last five years while battling cancer my mom has not only been a brave survivor but a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well. She survived her first cancer battle to help my dad through his open heart surgery in 2018. She did all she could as she watched my brother survive and heal from his brain aneurysm in 2019. She spent a great deal of 2019-2020 hospitalized for numerous respiratory illnesses and neutropenia from cancer treatments. She most recently lived every parents and grandparents nightmare of watching her 7 year old granddaughter battle brain cancer.
Between traveling to and from doctor appointments and the many medical bills insurance does not cover, being retired on fixed income has been difficult to say the least. The traveling alone has been very costly for my parents between rising fuel costs and many vehicle repairs.
My parents have always paid their own way, even during my moms first two cancer diagnoses, she would not ask for help. Those first two battles have severely affected their finances. Any help is greatly appreciated, no matter what it is. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as my mom fights cancer once again. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
