Help Susie Lawing Rebuild After Tragic Park Fire

My name is Jessica Adams. It is with a very heavy heart that our family has lost our home and property. The Park Fire in Cohasset has burned everything at the home of our mom Susie Lawing. My siblings, Theresa Markwood and Patrick Lawing are here with me to share details of this tragic news. The place we call Enchanted Ridge was completely torched and nothing stands. Our family is in utter shock. Below are photos of before and after the Park Fire destroyed our family property.

There were 3 people living on the land near her home, Susie Lawing, her son Patrick, her friend Terrance. They all lost their homes. Her daughter Jessica also had a cottage recently built that is gone as well. The property which included a beautiful sauna and dock by the pond, a large barn with a dance and yoga studio, a second dwelling attached to the main house are all gone. There are other things to rebuild like our water source pipeline and so much more.

Unfortunately, the worst part about the fire hitting our family property is Susie was uninsured due to high coverage rates. She has lost everything and has no money to build her life back. She has absolutely nothing, everything she owned was destroyed. She desperately needs help!

Please consider donating any amount to her fund to help her in the immediate future as well as her ability to rebuild a home on her beautiful land she’s lived on for 51 years. At this moment, she has only temporary places to stay and is in urgent need of support.

We're raising funds to help her secure temporary housing (8 months), replace essential belongings, and begin to rebuild her life. The future is uncertain because Susie was uninsured due to high costs of home insurance premiums. She lives a very modest life on Social Security so could not afford said costs. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping her through this incredibly tough time.

These are some of the immediate and future things we need funds for:

A cellphone + provider service
New clothes & shoes for all seasons
Food (Susie grew a lot of her food and produce on her land and lost all canned foods she made)
Dog food
Living essentials (Anything and everything needed in a home)
Fire clean up expenses
Furniture for temp and permanent housing
Temporary housing (for the next 8 months)
Internet /Wi-Fi when Susie finally finds a home to stay long term
Permanent home to be built on the land
